About JRAC

Welcome to the Japanese Restaurant Association of Canada! We are a group of Japanese restaurants and retailers promoting awareness of the healthy benefits of Japanese food, deepen understanding of authentic Japanese food and culture in Canada, and share resources and information about new government regulations and food trends.

In 2005, several concerned Japanese restaurant owners, food professionals and businesses related to Japanese food formed JRAC to unite their voices and work together to successfully challenge and over-turn the Ontario Governments Frozen Fish By-Law that threatened their profession and businesses. Since then, the non-profit association JRAC has continued activities;

  • to educate and raise awareness of the healthy benefits of Japanese food

  • deepen understanding of authentic Japanese food culture to Canadians

  • share resources and upto date information about new government regulations and food trends

  • provide information about training and workshops to upgrade skills and qualifications
